On June 3, 2016, Vice Provost of Student Access, Success, and Diversity Initiatives Gerald Doyle served as the keynote speaker at the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) regional convention at Prairie State College around the theme of “collective consciousness.” Doyle was joined by College of Architecture alumnus Mohammad Hatahet (BArch ’15) and staff member Megan Mozina to speak to 130 PTK students from across the state about Illinois Tech’s Syrian student initiative and the power and potential that students have to implement change.
