Virologist Kathryn Spink, senior lecturer of biology, chief health professions advisor, and chair of the University Premedical Advisory Committee, discussed the history, biology, and pathogenesis of the virus, including how it is transmitted and treated. She also suggested reputable sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website for further questions.
