Vigil for Syria Today, Friday, January 18

On January 15, the University of Aleppo in Syria was ferociously shelled by government forces as students were taking their first round of final exams. Bodies are still being retrieved from the rubble; thus far, the number of murdered innocent students and staff members has reached 96 and the number injured is in the hundreds.

Please join the Office of Spiritual Life and Service Learning at a vigil to honor and remember those lost. We stand in solidarity with the students of Aleppo University and in their honor and memory throughout the United States.

The vigil will be held today, Friday, January 18 at 5:30 pm at the Volleyball Court on the South Lawn of the MTCC. Please contact Lynne Meyer, director of Spiritual Life and Service Learning, at lmeyer2@iit.edu with questions you may have.
