Sabermetrics, Scouting, and the Science of Baseball, a charity baseball conference that benefits the Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformation, is happening at Illinois Tech on August 24 and 25. Saberseminar is a widely attended baseball research meeting and industry networking event with twenty industry sponsors that include MLB teams and top technology companies. Normal student tickets are $65, or Illinois Tech students can attend for free by volunteering at the event (during one of four time slots: Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, or Sunday afternoon). Saberseminar also runs a resume drop that is closely monitored by many organizations and has resulted in a large number of MLB and other industry hires—Illinois Tech students can submit their resume for consideration online.
