Illinois Tech’s Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER) will serve as a co-sponsor of the 2016 Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy (SISE), to be hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago from Thursday, August 4 through Tuesday, August 16.
The SISE theme, “Energy/Water Nexus,” will feature a two-week intensive workshop for senior-level undergraduate (as of fall 2016) and graduate students, and professionals working in the field of sustainability and energy. Several Illinois Tech faculty (including Hamid Arastoopour, Weslynne Ashton, Alex Flueck, and Robert Anderson) will serve as instructors for the program. Participants should have an expressed interest in sustainability and energy as evidenced by either educational or practical experience.
Applications for the Summer Institute are now being accepted on a rolling basis until Friday, July 1. To learn more about the Summer Institute and apply online, click here.
Faculty are also invited to submit nominations for prospective SISE student participants directly to Peg Murphy at email@example.com (312.567.6881) or Thomas Aláan, SISE program coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org (312.996.2141).
