Join the Paul V. Galvin Library’s Student Advisory Board to help make the library a better place for fellow students. The Galvin Library is committed to enhancing the educational experience for students.
The board will be comprised of undergraduate and graduate students from various disciplines who will meet a few times each semester in order to provide feedback and insight on library services, collections, and spaces; help identify trends in the student use of services and resources; participate in the development of surveys or focus groups; and assist in decision-making that will affect the student body.
In the past Galvin Library has listened to students and added:
• A quiet study zone
• More seating options
• Collaborative work spaces
• 24 hour access on both levels
If you are interested in participating, send an email, write “Student Advisory Board” in the subject line and include your student status (undergraduate level freshman – 5th year or graduate), major or intended course of study, and the reason for serving on the student advisory board by Friday, September 13.
The first board meeting will be Thursday, October 3. Board meetings are held from 12:50-1:40 p.m. and lunch is provided. New members will be notified by Thursday, September 20.
