Welcome Week runs through Sunday, August 19 on the Mies Campus and encompasses a variety of events. Click here for the most up-to-date schedule.

Thursday, August 16

  • 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Core Sessions*, Hermann Hall Auditorium
  • 4 p.m. Bubbles and Bubble Tea with Union Board, MTCC South Lawn
  • 6 p.m. Student Government Association Summer Session, Stuart Building, Room 113
  • 7 p.m. Capture the Stethoscope with the American Medical Student Association, Gunsaulus Field
  • 8 p.m. All-Athlete Social with the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, MTCC South Lawn
    Meet current Illinois Tech student-athletes to discuss what it’s like being an athlete at Illinois Tech. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will provide snacks and games.
  • 8 p.m. Soccer with Recreational Sports and Fitness, Soccer Field

Friday, August 17

Saturday, August 18

  • 10 a.m.–3 p.m. U-Pass Distribution, MTCC Ballroom
  • Noon Tech Gives Back*, MTCC Welcome Center
  • 2 p.m. Sundaes with the Society of Women Engineers, MTCC South Lawn
  • 4 p.m. Welcome Black BBQ with National Society of Black Engineers and the African Student Organization, Commons Park near the Tennis Courts
  • 6 p.m. Taste of the Quad with the Greek Council, The Quad
    Enjoy lively games, entertainment, and free food at the kick-off for fraternity and sorority recruitment

Sunday, August 19

  • 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Student Leadership Conference: Living the Dream at Illinois Tech*
    The Student Leadership Conference will have a track for Student Organization Institute (required for presidents and treasurers) as well as for first-year students. RSVP here
  • 4 p.m. Cricket with Recreational Sports and Fitness, Rec Field
  • 5 p.m. Welcome Mass with Catholic Campus Ministry, Carr Chapel
  • 6 p.m. Ice Cream Social with MEDLIFE, MTCC South Lawn
  • 7 p.m. Men’s Soccer Scrimmage vs. Prairie State, Stuart Field
