We’re Breaking Ground . . . and Inspiring Innovation

iit_today_kaplan_gb_fbWe’re breaking ground . . . and inspiring innovation.

Don’t miss this (ground)breaking news—Thursday, August 25 will mark a milestone in Illinois Tech’s history.

We’ll break ground on the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship on Thursday, August 25 at noon in the area north of Hermann Hall.

Alumni, university friends, and Kaplan Institute donors will be in attendance for this momentous occasion, and we hope students, faculty, and staff will join the celebration. Guests are encouraged to help us paint the campus red by wearing their favorite red Illinois Tech gear to show university pride. Following the groundbreaking, a carnival-style reception featuring live music from WIIT, inflatables, and more will be held in Man on a Bench Park.

Don’t have Illinois Tech gear? We’ve got you covered. Institutional Advancement has a limited number of t-shirts for those who didn’t receive a complimentary shirt at least year’s Spirit Day. Bring your ID and head to the 17th floor of the IIT Tower Monday, August 22 through Wednesday, August 24 between the hours of noon–4:30 p.m. One shirt per person will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

RSVP to Lauren Shelby at 312.567.5042 or rsvpevents@iit.edu by Monday, August 22.
