The Illinois Tech Women’s Swimming and Diving team had a light first day of competition at the Liberal Arts Championships, competing in the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay. Illinois Tech currently holds second place with 34 points.

Day One Highlights
- The team was strong in the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay, as the group of Katherine Lydon, Kristin Wills, Delaney Shepherd, and Brigitte Temple placed second with a time of 8:05.84, nearly 13 seconds better than the group’s seed time of 8:17.58.
Day Two Preview
- Illinois Tech will compete in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, 500 Yard Freestyle, 200 Yard Individual Medley, 50 Yard Freestyle, the 400 Yard Medley Relay, and the 1 Meter Diving event on Thursday, February 15. Preliminaries for these events will begin at 10 a.m., with finals taking place at 6 p.m. Luther College will provide live video and live results for each of the day’s events.
