The Illinois Tech Women’s Tennis team faced the Olivet Nazarene University Tigers on March 21. Illinois Tech was defeated 8-1.

How it Happened

• Illinois Tech was defeated 3-0 in doubles despite the second (Allyson Trang and Sophia Nelson) and third (Shailee Shah and Paulina Kulyavstev) tandems showing strong stretches of play, falling 8-4 and 8-3 respectively.
• In singles, Weronika Halicka won 6-2, 6-2 in the top spot.
• Nelson lost a close match in #4 singles 6-4. 4-6 (8-10).

• The Scarlet Hawks are off until Sunday, April 8 when the team plays in Madison, Wisconsin, against UW-Lacrosse (noon) and Edgewood College (4 p.m.)
