Women’s Track and Field Places 10th in NACC Outdoor Championships

LISLE, Ill.—The Illinois Tech men’s track and field finished up at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Championships on Saturday at the Village of Lisle-Benedictine University Sports Complex. The Scarlet Hawks finished the meet in a tie for 10th place with a total of two points.

Meet Highlights: Saturday

  • After competing in two events on Friday, Mminika Effiong scored for Tech on Saturday in the long jump. She placed seventh in the event with a 4.99m mark.
  • Erin Nelson competed for Tech in the 5,000m, placing 11th at 22:12.66.

  • Tech’s next race will be the Dr. Keeler Final Qualifier at North Central College, which takes place on Thursday and Friday of next week.
