Workshop: How to Include On-Campus Experience on a Resume

Join Career Services and the Student Employment Office on Tuesday, January 17 from 1–2 p.m. in the Hermann Hall Alumni Lounge for a short presentation about improving your resume using on-the-job skills. This presentation is open to student employees and is limited to the first 32 registrants.

On-campus jobs are a great way to gain valuable experience and practice skills in an office environment. A student can use his or her accomplishments, innovations, projects, and soft skills learned on the job to enhance their resume.

Students will brainstorm the transferable skills developed from their on-campus position and identify ways to include their experience on a professional resume. We will discuss basic structure, format, and content to include. By the end of the session, students will have a peer-reviewed resume and an explanation of their on-campus job to add to their resume.
