World Music Festival Chicago — September 21-27

IIT is proud to welcome hundreds of students from around the world—from more than 90 countries—and hundreds more from throughout the U.S.

If you are new to Chicago, you’ll soon discover that the City of Chicago hosts dozens of musical and cultural festivals throughout the year, from jazz, gospel and blues, to many ethnic and neighborhood events. Most events are free of charge or have modest admission prices.

World Music Festival Chicago kicks off September 21 and runs through September 27 at multiple venues throughout the city. Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), World Music Festival Chicago features acclaimed musicians from countries around the world and features traditional and contemporary music from these diverse cultures.
