Holiday Shutdown / Time Recording
December 26 – 27, 2011, and January 2, 2012 are official university holidays. Eligible non-exempt (hourly) employees who work any of these three days will earn holiday premium pay at the rate of time and one-half plus straight time (equivalent 2-1/2 X).

December 28, 29, and 30, 2011 are year-end bonus days with pay for eligible employees who continue to work for IIT through Friday, January 13, 2012. Time worked on these bonus days will be paid as straight time.

Should the supervisor/department head decide that offsetting time is not feasible, the department head must record this on the appropriate time document so that additional straight time wages are paid. Any such adjustment will be made on the January 13, 2012 paycheck if the adjustment is received by the payroll office in time for this paycheck.

On Tuesday, January 3, 2012, the university re-opens.
