Apply Now For a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award

The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program places recent college graduates and young professionals as English teaching assistants in primary, secondary schools or universities overseas with the goal of improving foreign students’ English language abilities and knowledge of the United States while increasing the U.S. student’s own language skills and knowledge of the host country.

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) at the U.S. Department of State recently completed an evaluation of the Fulbright ETA program, and their report is available online. The report is extremely positive, showing real, nearly universal positive impact on both ETAs and their host communities.

Students who expect to complete a bachelor’s degree by Fall 2015 and who are U.S. citizens are eligible to apply. The campus application deadline is Monday, September 15, 2014.

If you plan to apply or have further questions, email Jennifer Sherdan, the Fulbright Program Advisor for Illinois Tech.

This event reflects the values expressed in IIT’s Diversity Statement and is intended to promote diversity at IIT.
