Architecture for Humanity Chicago Hires Betsy Williams as New Managing Director

Architecture for Humanity Chicago is proud to announce and welcome Betsy Williams as the organization’s first Managing Director. Betsy will be responsible for working closely with the AFH-Chicago Board of Directors to uphold design standards, ensure consistency in documentation and deliverables, and improve the chapter’s project and fundraising capacity. She will also oversee all chapter projects, including assisting project leads and teams, serving as point-of-contact for the organization. As the Managing Director Betsy will maintain and cultivate relationships with clients, donors and partners.

Betsy comes to AFH with significant experience in architectural practice, education, and advocacy. Her professional work has been recognized for its innovative and responsible design and has contributed to more sustainable communities through work with co-housing and food cooperative clients. Betsy is currently an adjunct associate professor at Illinois Institute of Technology.
