College of Architecture Professor Robert Krawczyk has been invited to the upcoming PechaKucha 20×20 in Batavia on Thursday, February 21. The title of his presentation is “Visualizing the Invisible; Science, Mathematics, and Art.”

Scientific and mathematical phenomenon has an artistic aesthetic that transcends its ability to attempt to explain the world around us. Presentation will highlight the artist interpretation of chaos, spiral patterns in nature, and music. This is based on writings and research conducted at Illinois Tech. Complete information can be found at www.pechakucha.com/cities/batavia.

Following this presentation, throughout the month of March, the Batavia Public Library will be exhibiting prints based on chaos theory from Krawczyk’s Dimension of Time in Strange Attractors Series.
