Amanda Williams, Architecture Adjunct Associate Professor, Wins 2014 3Arts Award

4W0A1115.jpgTen local artists, including IIT College of Architecture Adjunct Associate Professor Amanda Williams, each received $25,000 in unrestricted grant money thanks to the support of Chicago’s 3Arts organization at an event held at the Museum of Contemporary Art on October 6, 2014.

Artists were selected by an anonymous nomination and jury selection process. The inspirational windfall is meant to validate and augment the important work being generated in Chicago. 3Arts has always provided the means for artists to freely create art and build a sustainable career; now the organization is expanding its programming to include residency fellowships, project support, and professional development and promotion. The organization advocates for Chicago’s women artists, artists of color, and artists with disabilities in the performing, teaching, and visual arts. ad
