Commencement Updates For Graduating Students

Will you be participating in the Commencement Ceremonies on May 11? If so, please take note of some important reminders and updates below:

Regalia

All graduating students are required to wear a cap, gown, and tassel in order to participate in Commencement. Please note: you must bring your regalia with you to the ceremony. There will not be any regalia available that day.

Guest Tickets

Students who submitted their Ceremony Response Form and attended Graduate Salute will receive four (4) guest tickets. Tickets will be released starting April 24, 2024, and must be claimed by 5 p.m. CDT on May 1, 2024. As a reminder, graduating students do not need a ticket for Commencement. However, all guests (two years of age or older) will need a ticket to enter the arena; guests will not be allowed to enter without one. Graduating students will have the option to digitally share or print their guest tickets, but please note that each ticket can only be scanned once for admission.

College Ceremonies

The 2024 Illinois Tech Commencement will consist of two combined College Ceremonies. The first ceremony (Institute of Design, College of Architecture, and College of Computing) will begin at 9 a.m. CDT. The second ceremony (Armour College of Engineering, Lewis College of Science and Letters, and Stuart School of Business) will begin at 2 p.m. CDT. For more information, please visit the Event Details and Schedules webpage.

As always, please check on the Commencement site for regular updates. We look forward to celebrating with you in May.
