The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will continue its Seminar Series on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 12:45-1:45 p.m. via zoom featuring guest speaker Ana Forster, PhD, Professor, University of Bremen, Germany.

Title: Internet of Things for Agricultural Scenarios – Overview and Research Challenges

Professor Ana will explore how Internet of Things can be used in agricultural scenarios. We will first shortly explore some application scenarios, system architectures and communication technologies. Then we will focus on some open research problems and their solutions, mostly in the area of underground networking. Her research focus is on artificial intelligence techniques, like machine learning and swarm intelligence, to various aspects of wireless communication protocols and applications.
