The Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program organizes interdisciplinary teams of undergraduate students to apply their creativity to complex, open-ended projects that tackle the challenges of our times. Guided by faculty members from diverse fields, IPRO teams span new venture development, urban livability and reimagining the shopping mall, global health and well-being challenges, renewable energy and sustainability, urban agriculture, robotics and medical devices, STEM education, community engagement and public safety. Spring IPRO sponsors and collaborators include Motorola Solutions Foundation, Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago, American Red Cross, Lincoln Park Zoo, Hubbell, Inc., Environmental Policy Law Center, Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community, and GRIT Chicago LLC (Farpoint Development, McLaurin Development, Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives, Draper and Kramer, Loop Capital and the Bronzeville Community Development Partnership).

The IPRO Day event is the culmination of IPRO team work through interactive exhibits. At the spring 2019 IPRO Day Showcase on Friday, April 26 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. in Hermann Hall, 100+ teams will showcase their accomplishments.
