Faculty and Staff Encouraged To Attend IPRO Day as Judges or Guests

r_gr01_tag.gifAn academic highlight on IIT Main Campus each summer is IPRO Day. It will take place from 10 am-2 pm on Friday, July 25 in Hermann Hall.

IIT faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in this event and show their support to the summer IPRO teams. The event is the culmination of IPRO teamwork via exhibits and presentations. This semester, 13 IPRO teams are participating.

The Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program organizes undergraduate students from IIT’s colleges as multidisciplinary teams to work on complex, open-ended projects to tackle the challenges of our times. Guided by faculty members from diverse fields, IPRO teams focus on a variety of topics from infrastructure planning, product and process innovation, renewable energy and sustainability, service learning and community development.

Summer 2014 IPRO corporate sponsors and community partners include Greenlee (A Textron Company), Kramer Tree Specialists, Blue Goose Market, Bronzeville Retail Alliance, 51st Street Business Alliance, Urban Partnership Bank, Alderman Pat Dowell’s 3rd Ward Office, Urban Juncture Foundation, Friends of the Forum and Metropolitan Planning Council. Professionals from the Chicago area are invited to serve as judges and welcome to attend as guests. Click here to register as a judge or guest.

For more information, visit the IPRO website or email Rima Kuprys at rkuprys@iit.edu.

This event reflects the values expressed in IIT’s Diversity Statement and is intended to promote diversity at IIT.
