Hagedorn, a senior principal consultant at SRH Consulting LLC focused on science, innovation, and risk management, will share a personal perspective of his 40-year industrial journey in the life sciences: from his native state of Wisconsin to New Jersey and back to the Midwest. Hagedorn will discuss the start of his career during the early years of the biotechnology era of the early 1980s, and how he has applied science-based principals in R&D and food regulations to support commercial taste food ingredients globally. Hagedorn will also discuss how recent scientific advances in taste and nutrition sciences are being applied by industry and venture capital companies to address the global challenges of food security in the aftermath of the pandemic.
