Yi Han, instruction librarian and international student library services liaison at Galvin Library, is one of 30 Illinois librarians that have been selected to participate in the tenth year of “Synergy: The Illinois Library Leadership Initiative,” a year-long program designed to develop future leaders in the library profession and in the Illinois community.
The 30 librarians were selected from all types of libraries: public, special, school, and academic. This distinctive co-hort will attend three sessions over a six-month period and will work in a leadership environment with experienced Illinois library leaders as mentors, will interact with nationally recognized library thinkers, and will seek to develop leadership skills that can be applied in local, state and global arenas.
