Galvin Library User Study

Galvin Library will be conducting a study on our library users (both online users and those who physically enter the building) between February 8-21, 2015. During this period, at selected times throughout the day, we will be asking students who enter the building to scan their ID, and those using the Research Help Office (RHO) will be asked as well. We will also be using server data to view usage of online resources. This study will help the library identify its users in order to better meet our students’ needs by creating new programs, enhancing spaces, and to determine whether intensity of library usage has an effect on student retention. Student IDs will be aggregated, and the study is confidential and voluntary, so you can opt out at any time. If you have any questions about this study, contact the principle investigator, Lisa Massengale, at lmasseng@iit.edu or 312.567.3373.
