Grow, Harvest, and Give Back in Bronzeville

Join New Community Outreach’s Garden to Table Program and help increase access to fresh, healthy food in the Bronzeville community. Entering its seventh season, the program creates a restorative community space through gardening, food distribution, and neighbor-to-neighbor connection at Jackie Robinson Elementary School.

Volunteers assist with harvesting produce from the community garden and distributing free produce bags to local residents. Volunteer opportunities take place on Saturdays from June through October, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. To support consistent operations throughout the season, volunteers are asked to commit to at least three Saturdays.

Whether you are passionate about gardening, food justice, community service, or simply want to give back, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while connecting with your neighbors.
