Incoming chair of the Lewis College Department of Social Sciences, Jonathan Rosenberg, was interviewed by the Chinese weekly magazine, Sanlian Lifeweek, on the recently announced normalization of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States. Rosenberg was asked to comment on the likely political and economic motivations for the decision, the sources of support for and opposition to the decision in the United States, and his thoughts on future developments such as the lifting of the economic embargo. Rosenberg’s remarks were featured prominently in an article published in Beijing the week of December 22.
