Join with members of the Mies van der Rohe Society for this fluid and energetic engagement that will emphasize the centennial of the Bauhaus’s founding and its relationship to Illinois Tech and its host city, Chicago.

Mies, Hilberseimer, and Peterhans were obvious transplants from this institution; however, contemporary artists-in-residence Barbara Kasten (Bortolami Gallery), Venetia Stifler (Ruth Page Foundation), Tony Kidonakis (VanderCook College of Music Jazz), and IIT College of Architecture have continued to produce work in this vein.

This is where art, architecture, music, and dance intersect—in the Bauhaus tradition.

Illinois Tech students, faculty, and staff are admitted at no cost to the program, but registration is required. The pre-program reception is open to paid guests only.
