Library Fundamentals for New Students

Are you a new student? Learn about the services and resources, plus take a short tour at Galvin Library when you attend Library Fundamentals for New Students. The librarians leading the session and tour will tell you everything you need to know to get started using the library. Some of the questions that will be answered in the session include where to find textbooks in the library, how the books are organized, how to check out a book, library policies on eating, drinking and cell phones, login information and much, much more.

The library will offer three sessions, and all sessions will meet in the Cherry Conference Room which is located on the lower level of Galvin Library. Walk past the main stairs, past the elevator and the Cherry Room is in the Group Study Area. Contact yhan27@iit.edu with any questions. Dates and times are as follows:

Library Fundamentals for New Students:
• Wednesday, January 11: 1 to 2 pm, Cherry Conference Room
• Friday, January 13, 1 2 pm, Cherry Conference Room

Library Fundamentals for New International Students (this tour session is spoken in Chinese):
• Friday, January 13, 3 – 4 pm, Cherry Conference Room
