Manage a Website or Channel on the myIIT Portal? Important Notice About Your Site

At the end of this month (on Tuesday, May 31), Illinois Tech’s Office of Technology Services (OTS) will be shutting down the server driving the old content management system of the university’s website and myIIT portal. Some staff members on campus previously had used this old system, widely referred to as the LCMS or Site Studio, to manage their websites. At this time most Illinois Tech websites that had been managed through the LCMS have been moved to the new Drupal content management system, with a few exceptions.

Recently, the Office of Marketing and Communication’s Web Services team has been migrating my.iit.edu portal channels and portal websites to the new Drupal system, too. In doing so we have been working with some of the portal website managers and in some cases moving the content from their old sites as is. If you manage a my.iit.edu portal website or portal channel using the LCMS/Site Studio and your site has not yet been updated, or if Web Services has not contacted you to update your site, please fill out the form linked below and a member of the Web Services team will contact you.

Once the old server is shut down on May 31, all old sites that have not been migrated to Drupal will become inactive, and website and portal site managers will lose the ability to log into the LCMS/Site Studio and make updates.

If you manage a portal website or portal channel in the LCMS/Site Studio and have not seen it updated, or if the Web Services team has not contacted you to update your site, please fill out this form.
