As part of the university-wide VoIP telecommunications project that was completed last year, the Office of Technology Services (OTS) has configured a redundancy link (i.e., backup system) to ensure voice services will not be interrupted in the event of an outage.
On October 14, 2022, OTS will be testing this link during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
During this period, all incoming, outgoing, and 911 calls will be routed over this backup link. There should be no interruption of service.
What, If Anything, Should I Do?
Just continue to make and receive calls as usual.
