Are you dreading creating your year-end reports? Let the Office of Technology Services help.

We will be hosting a series of quarterly Brown Bag Lunch and Learn sessions, beginning Wednesday, December 16, to bring together Illinois Tech’s report writers to discuss issues and tips for generating optimal reports. We’ll call ourselves the “Report-Writers’ User Group.”

Now that we have the added IBM Cognos functionality for writing reports against our ODS and EDW, we thought it would be a good idea to provide you with an opportunity to learn more about what that business intelligence architecture looks like and how it can be mined for data.

Please join us for our first Brown Bag Lunch and Learn session on Wednesday, December 16 from noon-1 p.m. in Tech South Room 2028. The room accommodates 30 people so seats will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

The December 16 Lunch and Learn panel will include:

• Abby McGrath, associate vice president for enrollment services
• Watasha Hall, associate director, institutional information
• Sara Shaik, manager of business intelligence and process improvement
• Kim Morrison, senior business intelligence analyst

These sessions are open to all IBM Cognos report writers.
