    The Office of the Provost is now accepting nominations for the recipients of honorary degrees that will be presented at Commencement in May 2026. A recipient of an honorary degree will also speak at each Commencement ceremony. Nominations must be submitted through our online form, and they must be submitted by the end of day on Friday, December 19, 2025.

    The Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering presents its MMAE 593 seminar series featuring guest speaker Nikhil Chandra Admal, assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Admal will present “Equilibrium Statistical Mechanics of Crystal Interfaces.” This event is open to the public and will take place on March 25, 2026, from 12:45–1:45 p.m. in Room 104 of the Rettaliata Engineering Center.
