Write to Thrive: Creative Writing Workshop
September 25, 2025Galvin Library is collaborating with on-campus partners to present a panel and workshop about the creative writing process. Panel topics include the importance of journaling, exploring fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction, combating writer’s block, and more. A workshop allowing space for artistic expression will follow. Refreshments and a giveaway of literary magazines will be provided for guests. September 25, 2025The Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering presents the Midwest Mechanics Seminar Series featuring guest speaker Laura De Lorenzis, Professor of Computational Mechanics at ETH Zürich, in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering. De Lorenzis will present “Variational phase-field modeling of fracture: toward second-generation models.” This event is open to the public and will take place on Wednesday, November 5. Also, a Benefits Fair will be held at Mies Campus on October 30, ahead of Open Enrollment from October 31 through November 15.
