July 29, 2025Sensor technology is rapidly advancing and plays a crucial role in various industrial applications. Illinois Tech’s Certificate Program in Sensor Technology for Experiential Learning (CPSTEL) provides cross-disciplinary, experiential training in combined areas of advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, environmental control, semiconductor and microelectronics. The 9-credit program consists of education and mentored research in sensor technology in an academic setting, followed by correlated industrial internship training. -

July 22, 2025The Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering presents its fall 2025 seminar series featuring Stephanie Stockar, associate professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at Ohio State University, who will present “Optimal Control and Energy Minimization in Large-Scale Systems: A PDE-Based Approach with Applications to Traffic Systems.” This seminar is open to the public and will take place on Wednesday, September 10, from 12:45–1:45 p.m. in room 104 of the Stuart Building. -

Catering Update from Illinois Tech Dining
July 8, 2025Illinois Tech Dining, operated by Chartwells Higher Education, has announced a leadership transition in its catering department. Racquel Pett, who has served as the university’s Catering Director, has recently accepted a new position outside of the company. Trees Planted at The Alphawood Arboretum in Celebration of Newly Graduated MLA+U Students and Arbor Day
June 17, 2025As part of the annual tradition, the Master of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism program (M.L.A.+U.) graduates had the opportunity to participate in planting trees at the Alphawood Arboretum to commemorate their graduation. Twelve new trees were planted as part of the commemoration which consisted of four crabapples (Malus sp.), three honey locusts (Gleditsia triacanthos), and five poplar-aspens (Populus tremuloides). -
Tuition Exchange Family Webinars This June and July
June 17, 2025The Tuition Exchange program is offering two webinars this summer on called Diving Into Tuition Exchange. Webinars will take place on Tuesday, June 24, from 6–7 p.m. CST, and on Wednesday, July 16, from 3–4 p.m. CST.
