Learn About MCAT Updates and Preparation Strategies
September 2, 2025Do you have to take the MCAT (or DAT, OAT, PCAT)? This seminar will introduce exam topics, resources, and preparation strategies. Recent changes in the registration process and rules of examination will also be covered. The seminar, given by Dr. Kathryn M. Spink, Director of Pre-Health Professions Programs, is Thursday, September 11, from 12:45–1:45 p.m. in the Pritzker Science Center, room 152. Lunch will be provided. -
Real Time Communications Conference at Illinois Tech Offers Opportunities for Students
August 26, 2025The Real Time Communications Conference (RTC) at Illinois Tech, an International Conference of the IEEE sponsored by the RTC Lab and by the Chicago Chapter of the IEEE, will be held in Hermann Hall on October 7–8, 2025. This conference is focused on real time multimedia applications as they embrace AI/ML, VoiceTech, the Quantum Internet and other emerging technologies. Opportunities for students include a poster competition and volunteering. -
BCBS Health Plan Members Be Aware of Increased Fraud Attempts
August 26, 2025Blue Cross Blue Shield has made us aware of an increase in fraud attempts via email, text, and phone calls. This is impacting individuals as "spoofing" attempts, as well as in the filing of fraudulent claims. Spoofing attempts are incidents in which someone impersonates a legitimate corporation in an attempt to gain access to personal information, such as bank account or credit card information. Health plan members are encouraged to remain vigilant to ensure that they do not provide scammers with personal information, and take necessary action should fraudulent claims be filed under their name. -

August 26, 2025SPEAK is a free weekly conversation group hosted by English Language Services. The goal is to create an opportunity to chat for international and domestic students, staff, and faculty.
