Call for Posters for Welcome Week Student Project Showcase
July 18, 2024Illinois Tech undergraduate and graduate students (including incoming students) who have done research and other professional project work during the last year are invited to present their work at the Illinois Tech Welcome Week Student Project Showcase from 2–4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in the Hermann Hall Expo Center. The deadline to submit a research title and abstract is August 1. -

MBA 577: Entrepreneurial Finance Course Available in the Fall
July 11, 2024MBA 577 is designed for students interested in becoming an entrepreneur, working at an entrepreneurial firm, investing in entrepreneurs and/or anyone interested in the topic of finance and/or entrepreneurship. The course is open to all graduate students. A background in finance is not required. This is a course that focuses on teaching the practical application of the topics mentioned earlier. -
Academic Unit Gatherings and Receptions for Welcome Week
July 11, 2024Welcome Week is August 12–18. To accommodate any academic unit that would like to host a reception or introductory session for their areas during Welcome Week the best dates and times are 4–6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, or Wednesday, Aug. 14. These dates and times ensure that students will not have a conflict with other events during Welcome Week. -
Explore Leading Scientific Data Formats at the HDF User Group 2024 Meeting
July 11, 2024Students and faculty are invited to gain an extensive and thorough understanding of real- world, open-source software initiatives funded by the National Science Foundation and the United States Department of Energy as Illinois Tech’s Gnosis Research Center hosts the 2024 HDF User Group Meeting (HUG24). HUG 24 will be held at The McCormick Tribune Campus Center on Illinois Tech’s main campus on August 5–7. -
Community-Engaged Research Seminar for Health Researchers
July 11, 2024Illinois Institute of Technology will host a virtual and synchronous training seminar on Friday, August 23, designed to prepare researchers to partner with members of the community and submit for the 2025 Inspiring Change Training and Research Award ($10,000 for training and $30,000 direct costs for CeR pilot study). -

New Online Training Sessions Offered for All Faculty
July 11, 2024All faculty are invited to attend one of 13 online training sessions that will take place during new faculty orientation on August 12–14, 2024. While the Office of the Provost is providing these sessions for new faculty during their orientation, all faculty members are invited to take part in the fully remote sessions.
