The presidential search process is proceeding on schedule, and we anticipate that the next president will be in position no later than the start of the fall semester, sometime in August. As such, I have asked President Cramb if he would extend his presidency until the earlier to occur when the successor president can join us on campus or the start of the fall semester. President Cramb has agreed to this request in order for there to be a smooth transition from his presidency to the next. Our search firm is confident that Illinois Tech will identify an excellent candidate and that we will come to terms within this timeframe. I’d like to thank President Cramb for agreeing to these terms and continuing to serve as president of the university.
