Special SPEAK: Conversation Group – Culture Shock and Studying Abroad

Are you an international student? Are you a domestic student thinking about studying abroad? Have you visited different countries? Are you interested in differences between cultures and educational systems? If your answer to any of these questions is “yes,” join us for a special SPEAK: Conversation Group to celebrate International Education Week!

We are going to talk about culture shock and what to expect when you study or travel abroad. Let’s share what we find surprising, fun, interesting, or difficult to get used to. Let’s share strategies on how to deal with difficulties of living, studying, or even just traveling abroad. Hear what people from different countries have to say about living and studying in the U.S.!

… and did we say that there will be pizza?

To enjoy our delicious pizza, please register by 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15th using the QR code on the flier. Did not register in time? Feel free to still join us, but bring your lunch just in case!

We hope to see you there!

This session is co-hosted by English Language Services, International Center, and Study Away Program.
