Join the Illinois Tech community at the inauguration of Alan W. Cramb as the ninth president of Illinois Institute of Technology on Friday, September 18, 2015. The ceremony will take place in the Hermann Hall Auditorium at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow. Shuttle service will be provided, and details will be shared via IIT Today at a later date.
RSVP for the ceremony and reception by Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
Prior to the ceremony, you are invited to watch the campus-wide processional beginning at 2:15 p.m. as you head to Hermann Hall. The processional will begin with two separate groups at the north and south ends of campus and meet as the groups work their way toward 33rd Street and Footlik Lane. Seating inside Hermann Hall will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend you arrive by 2:45 p.m. to ensure you have a seat for the ceremony. The auditorium doors will be closed at 2:55 p.m., and late arrivals will not be allowed to enter until after the processional and color guard presentation. Overflow seating will be in the Hermann Hall Ballroom, with secondary overflow in the Wishnick Hall Auditorium, if necessary.
We ask that you show your Illinois Tech pride and wear red to the Inauguration events. The Office of Institutional Advancement will have free t-shirts for all staff members; distribution details will be shared via IIT Today at a later date.
Be part of this historic celebration to honor President Cramb and support him in his new role at the university.
