Student Orgs – Get Involved with IFest!

Student organizations, did you want to get involved in International Education Week, but didn’t have time to plan an entire event? Get involved with one or all of the events that International Students Organizations (ISO) is putting together:

Monday, November 5 at 12 pm – Taste of IIT
Introduce your classmates, faculty and staff to the wonderful flavors of your culture! This is a great fundraiser for many student organizations, and we hope you get involved. Sign up here.

Wednesday, November 7 at 12:30 pm – Cultural Museum
The International Student Organization is transforming the MTCC Bridge into a cultural museum! Transform your booth into a representation of your cultures. Bring flags, clothes, art work, books — anything that represents you! Contact cning@hawk.iit.edu for more information.

Wednesday, November 7 at 2pm – “Games People Play”
Do you have a favorite game from your culture that may not be popular in the U.S.? Introduce it to IIT! Bring your game board or cards or anything else needed to play, and come teach others! Contact cning@hawk.iit.edu to get involved.

Thursday, November 8 – IFest Performance Night
This is the hottest event of the semester! Get your group together to participate in the IFest performances. Singing, dancing, spoken word, skits, instruments or bands — we welcome everything! Sign up here.

Also, during that entire week, we will be running a cultural photo contest and lots of other activities, including a film, a meditation session, and a cooking class run by Sodexo! More information will soon be posted in IIT Today and in the University Calendar. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us at asincla1@iit.edu.
