April 1, 2025The Nate Thomas Award Ceremony, organized by the Black Student Union at Illinois Institute of Technology, honors the achievements of Black and Latino students, as well as all faculty and staff. This annual celebration on Friday, April 25, recognizes the outstanding contributions of individuals who have made a significant impact through academic excellence, community engagement, cultural advocacy, social justice, and mentorship. Nominations are due Friday, April 18. -

The Emergence of Love serves as a transformative resource hub dedicated to addressing a myriad of challenges faced by students and communities in Chicago. With an intentional focus on holistic well-being, empowerment, and countering systemic oppression, this initiative provides a comprehensive array of resources to uplift marginalized communities. The event includes grocers, food, a panel about humanizing people of color and a fashion show called Element X. -
All Women Invited to No Shade, All Tea on March 30

This experience is aimed at addressing and dismantling the taboos, standards, and challenges faced by women of color from marginalized communities.
