March 14, 2013Appellate Courts as First Responders: The Constitutionality and Propriety of Appellate Courts' Resolving Issues in the First Instance, a law review article by IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law Distinguished Professor Joan E. Steinman, has won the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers' (AAAL) 2011–12 Eisenberg Prize. -

At 125th Anniversary Gala, Governor Pat Quinn Designates February 23, 2013, as IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law Day in Illinois
February 25, 2013IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law celebrated 125 Years of Distinctive Legal Education at the college's 125th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Union Station Grand Hall in Chicago. Illinois Governor Pat Quinn honored the college by designating the date as "IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law Day" in Illinois. -

IIT Chicago-Kent to Seek Third Consecutive National Cultural Heritage Law Moot Court Competition Championship
February 19, 2013Two teams from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law will represent the law school in defense of its 2011 and 2012 championships in the fourth annual National Cultural Heritage Law Moot Court Competition. The tournament, sponsored by DePaul University College of Law and the Lawyers' Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation, will be held February 22 and 23 at the Everett McKinley Dirksen U.S. Courthouse in Chicago.
