Submit Your Nomination for an Honorary Degree Recipient

November 25, 2025
The Office of the Provost is now accepting nominations for the recipients of honorary degrees that will be presented at Commencement in May 2026. A recipient of an honorary degree will also speak at each Commencement ceremony. Nominations must be submitted through our online form, and they must be submitted by the end of day on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Volunteers Needed for Commencement

March 25, 2025
Illinois Tech’s 156th Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Credit Union 1 Aren. There will be two separate, combined college-level ceremonies, and at each of these ceremonies, degrees will be conferred for three of the university’s colleges. Chicago-Kent’s Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at UIC Forum. Please volunteer if you area available to help create a momentous day for our 2024–2025 graduates.

Faculty RSVP for Commencement—Deadline: March 28, 2025

March 13, 2025
Illinois Institute of Technology’s 156th Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Credit Union 1 Arena, located at 525 South Racine Avenue in Chicago. Please RSVP to reserve your regalia no later than Friday, March 28, 2025. Your response is requested even if you own your own regalia or do not plan to attend.

Commencement RSVP Will Open at End of February

February 18, 2025
To all students who are eligible to graduate in fall 2024, spring 2025, or summer 2025 (undergraduate, graduate, Coursera, and Ph.D.): If you have applied to graduate this May, you will receive an email later this month to RSVP for the Commencement ceremony. Your RSVP will be due by Thursday, March 6 at 11 p.m. (CST).
