The City of Chicago offers a number of important safety precautions (see full story). If you or someone you know needs immediate assistance, call IIT Public Safety at 312.808.6363 or 911. The exceptionally high temperatures forecasted for today and tomorrow are a reminder to us all how much we depend on our energy resources. Please pay special attention to simple energy saving actions such as turning off lights, computers and other equipment when not in use. -
Illinois Institute of Technology Recognized for Pioneering Work with CBORD’s Mobile-Enabled Security Solutions
May 6, 2013IIT received the 2013 Innovative Technology Award from the National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU) at the the 20th Annual NACCU Conference in Orlando in April. The award recognizes an institution that has introduced a unique, technology-based solution on campus. IIT recently implemented several new mobile-enabled security solutions for door access to better serve its students and staff using CBORD's leading CS Access solution. -
Bruce Watts Named Vice President of Facilities and Public Safety
August 15, 2012Bruce Watts has been named by Illinois Institute of Technology President John Anderson as vice president of facilities and public safety for the university. Watts will be responsible for management of the buildings and grounds as well as oversight of public safety efforts and management of security personnel at IIT's five campuses. -
