Pi Day Celebrated with Raspberry Pi
March 18, 2013March 14 may seem like just an ordinary day but not at Illinois Institute of Technology. While there are no Hallmark cards to commemorate it, that date is Pi Day at IIT. Students from the Information Technology Management Organization (ITMO) used Pi Day as a cause for celebration with a "Raspberry Pi" that they ordered from Chicago-based electronics distributor Newark element14. Newark Element14 is not a bakery and Raspberry Pi is not an edible pie, but rather, a fully functional $35 single-board computer that is the latest "must-have" technology item. -

Part of 2013 National Engineers Week, the DuPage area activities will include the Engineers Week Expo from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 23. -

Her presentation was followed by a meet and greet reception and a book signing. -

February 15, 2012Join us for a fun, free, family interactive event with displays and presentations that will excite children about science and engineering. The DuPage Engineers Week Expo includes cryogenic freezing with a few controlled explosions, model airplanes and a wind tunnel exhibit, robots, bicycle power, load testing and destruction, static electricity, levers and pulleys, building molecules and hands-on activities with ZOOM®, Design Squad, LEGO® Robotics, and the DuPage Children's Museum. -
