Participants in the IIT Institute for Food Safety and Health Sprout Safety Alliance will be recognized at the 53rd Annual United States Food and Drug Administration Honor Awards Ceremony with the Group Recognition Award. This award recognizes “superior achievement of the agency’s mission through teamwork, partnership, shared responsibility, or fostering collaboration and coalition to achieve FDA goals.” The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 24 in Silver Spring, Md.

The development of the training programs and curriculum is a truly collaborative effort between the sprout industry, and academia and federal, state and local government representatives. The SSA team members are honored to be recognized for their hard work.
