Pat Johnson-Winston, director of academic writing and thesis examiner, Graduate Academic Affairs, is partnering with Charles Uth, head of STEM, senior engineering librarian, Galvin Library, to host the “Thesis and Dissertation Workshop: Online Research via Galvin Library” on Thursday, July 7 in the Library Learning Center. This workshop will address the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How of accessing Galvin Library’s online publications and the best practices for conducting online research. It is an hour long hands-on interactive session to help students navigate the library’s publications and other resources. The workshop is primarily for students who are either beginning the thesis writing process or have more writing to do. However, anyone may attend. Two workshops are offered on the same day (12:15-1:15 p.m. and 4:15-5:15 p.m.) to accommodate as many students as possible. There is no cost but registration is required.
