    Dr. Sandhu was awarded 2023 Mary Swartz Rose Young Investigator Award

    Dr. Aman Sandhu was awarded 2023 Mary Swartz Rose Young Investigator Award at the American Society for Nutrition meeting held in Boston from July 22–25. This award is given to an investigator within 10 years of postgraduate training, for outstanding research on the safety and efficacy of bioactive compounds for human health. The award is supported by the Council for Responsible Nutrition.

    Expect Road Closures in Loop Due to NASCAR Race

    Members of the Illinois Tech who commute through the Loop may experience delays this month, as the city prepares for a two-day NASCAR racing and music festival Saturday and Sunday, July 1 and 2, on a 2.2-mile circuit around Grant Park. The race will be bounded by Roosevelt, Michigan, Jackson, and DuSable Lake Shore Drive, and some other roads will be closed in the area.

  • Illinois Tech Hosting Several Community Farmers Markets

    Illinois Tech Hosting Several Community Farmers Markets

    Illinois Tech will host several Community Farmers Markets beginning Saturday, May 20, and running through October 2023. The market will showcase local farmers and artisans, and will include a variety of offerings. It will take place in parking lot D4 under the Green Line “L” station (between 35th and 34th streets). The market will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following Saturdays: May 20; June 3 and 17; July 1, 15, and 29; August 12 and 26; September 9; and October 7 and 21.
