December 11, 2014Illinois Institute of Technology is partnering with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and 13 other universities and colleges to form the Chicago Higher Education Compact, a collaboration dedicated to developing solutions to increase college enrollment, persistence and completion for CPS graduates, with the goal of increasing the college graduation rate for CPS students to 60 percent by 2025. -

IIT Team Among Winners of 48-Hour Student Cluster Competition
December 10, 2014An IIT team won part of the SC14 Student Cluster Competition, a real-time, non-stop, 48-hour challenge in which they ran high-performance applications/benchmarks on a cluster computer built with sponsors including Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Intel, NVIDIA, and Mellanox. The competition was held during the IEEE/ACM Supercomputing/SC Conference in New Orleans in November.
